OnePlus recently expanded its Nord line of affordable smartphones with the launch of the new OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. This phone is powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G mobile processor and runs on the very good Oxygen OS 12.1 (based on Android 12) overlay. This new model offers fast performance, a colorful screen and an elegant design. In this article, let’s see all the details about this new mid-range phone from the brand!
OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite: “Slightly more than you expected”
This OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite smartphone has flattened edges on all four corners, giving it a sleek and lightweight design. The front of the phone houses a 6.59-inch screen with the hole for the 16MP front camera in the top left corner.
The phone can be used with one hand. The back is split into two parts: a solid top with the camera island and a slimmer bottom with the company logo. The photo part is contained in a projecting rectangular module incorporating the configuration of the lens trio.
The power button is on the right side of the screen, while the volume buttons and SIM tray are on the left. The bottom contains the speaker grille, the USB Type-C charging port and the 3.5mm audio port.
The device has a 6.59-inch LCD screen that supports FHD+ (2412×1080 pixels) resolution. With these properties, this panel offers a pixel density of 402pp! As for the refresh rate, this smartphone has a frequency of 120Hz.
The screen of the Nord CE 2 Lite offers a lot of display space because the bezels around it are quite thin. The display is perfectly readable outdoors in direct sunlight and offers colorimetry that is perfect for gaming and binge-watching.
Hardware and Operating System
The Nord CE 2 Lite is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with an Adreno 619 graphics chip and 8GB of RAM. The device comes with 128 GB of internal storage and supports up to 5 GB of virtual RAM.

The smartphone runs on the very good proprietary OnePlus OxygenOS 12.1 overlay which is based on Android 12. The new UI skin has a new design and advanced privacy and security functions.
It’s always been improved, with an even more fleshed-out dark mode and faster, more stable performance. Usability has also been improved along with better battery management and even greater data privacy. Apart from the native features of Android 12, this new layer of the operating system also allows users to add useful widgets for work, rest and leisure.
In terms of autonomy, the smartphone has a solid 5000 mAh battery. The latter charges quickly thanks to 33W SuperVOOC technology.
