Louis Vuitton offers NFTs
Last August, the famous luxury brand, Louis Vuitton, had unveiled a mobile game available in the App Store and Play Store that offers the opportunity to win non-fungible tokens (NFT). A named game Louis: The game.
Released on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the birth of Louis Vuitton, who gave his name to the brand, the fairy tale features a character called Vivienne. Through different levels you will find 200 candles, each of which allows you to unlock a postcard tells part of the brand’s history.
Initially, Louis Vuitton offered the opportunity unlock 30 artistic NFTs can be used as a profile picture. Now two new levels have been added so you can earn 10 additional digital creations:

If, according to the brand, the game has been downloaded more than 2 million times, we still can not say that it is a huge success. Until now, it only gets a rating of 2.2 / 5 in the Play Store for example.

Luxury brands and a world of NFTs
Aside from this game, this is not the first time that LVMH offers an experience related to non-fungible tokens. We can mention Dom Perrignon, another property in the LVMH group, which produced a cuvée last fall in collaboration with Lady Gaga. This included a limited edition of bottles, comes with their dual NFT.
In general, the luxury sector has understood that NFTs can be that an important vertical in their marketing to expand their clientele. We are thinking, among other things, of Gucci, which joined The Sandbox metaverse in February last year to offer fashion items for avatars.
We will no doubt see more and more such integrations in the future, although the result may not always be there.
All this is not not a practice reserved for luxury. The city of Cannes, for example, recently announced the sale of NFTs representing its monuments to promote its cultural heritage.
