Quickly discover the makeover of a completely transformed former Parisian artist studio of 260 m2. Make way for color and modernity!

In this former artist studio in the 11th arrondissement of Paris, the spatial design agency Space Factory has introduced itself a contemporary interior in mind vacation homegive a place of honor to the light and intense colors.

Renovation: a former Parisian artist studio redecorated

It is in the heart of the 11th arrondissement in Paris that Ophélie Doria and Édouard Roullé Mafféïs, architects founders of space factory, dig up a 260 m² nugget for a family looking fora first real estate purchase. In this place of life that once housed the studio of the German artist Rebecca Horn, everything has been deposited to create a blank canvas for writing a new score with an assertive character.

Renovation: a contemporary style

This place of exceptional volumes, located on the first floor of a building of the end of the 19th century. It has more than 30 windows and a green terrace with double access from the kitchen and the office. To shape this luminous setting, the creative duo played with perspectives and symmetries by composing a strong architectural language. Day and night areas are separated by a fireplace corner of an intense midnight blue with an entrance on each side leading to the children’s wing and the parental suite in soft tones, housing a gigantic suspension made on site by Ophélie and Édouard.

Renovation: choice of colored paints

In the large living room with a ceiling height of 4.50 m, the challenge was to rationalize the space to create a warm and friendly atmosphere. † We imagined this place of life as a refuge out of time, infusing a rural spirit with the frame
exposed, all in white, and a clear bleached oak parquet floor ‘ says Ophelia. Architectural elements are emphasized by a vibrant palette that combines Klein blue, the terracotta color and the pine green in the reading corner that looks like winter garden† Warm and cold tones together form the different universes and create an atmosphere full of vitality.
