Sylvain Tesson, who lost his wife before the incident that disfigured her face, says “It is urgent to stop having children”

Sylvain Tesson has had real success in the world of literature. However, her personal life has not always been smooth.

Several years ago, the famous travel writer went through a terrible ordeal in his life, after a fall that almost killed him. Note that just before this tragedy, he broke up with his partner.

Fortunately, it’s all a part of his past now that the author of “On the Black Paths” is already leading a whole new life. Without wanting children.

Sylvain Tesson is without a doubt one of the most gifted writers of his generation. And rightly so, because his works have inspired many readers.

Moreover, a proof of his success, he was highly rewarded during his career. In his price list we can especially count the famous Renaudot Prize for his story “La Panthère des neiges”, but also the Goncourt Prize for the short story that was won in 2009.

Therefore, it must be said that Sylvain Tesson has nothing to envy the biggest names in the literature. He leads a fine career, which he has always associated with his greatest passions: travel and stegofilia.

For those who do not know yet, the son of Marie-Claude Millet and Philippe Tesson spent most of his time climbing facades and roofs. Which sometimes seems dangerous, especially when he is not protecting himself or when he is drinking.

On August 20, 2014, this same passion also cost him his life. As a reminder, that day, the famous writer, who spent a few days with his friend Jean-Christophe Rufin in Chamonix, would pick his host.

To do this, he decided, without protection, to climb up the facade of his friend’s house to reach the approximately ten-meter-high balcony. But suddenly he took a bad grip, which unfortunately made him topple over, then he fell.

Sylvain Tesson, who was the victim of a head trauma, was quickly admitted to the hospital in Annecy, where doctors diagnosed him with multiple fractures with a vital prognosis.

He was then placed in an induced coma, and it was not until eight days later that he awoke. And this before he was transferred to a Parisian hospital where he spent a few months in rehab.

It must be said that Sylvain Tesson had come out of it miraculously. But the incident left him with some scars.

“(…) My life was a crazy and slightly suicidal carnival (…) I still have paralysis in my face (…) I also lost the hearing in my right ear (…)”,

he said in an interview.

It is known that before this drama, which almost cost him his life, the one who loves to climb on the roofs, ended a relationship that lasted two years. This is the romance he lived with a woman named Bénédicte Matin.

The beautiful brunette is also a woman of letters like him. She wrote many books and received numerous awards for her works. In 2004, his first book entitled “Warm Up” received a collection of erotic short stories, the Prix Contrepoint de Littérature française. Then, in 2014, her book “La Femme” was selected for the Prix Renaudot.

Before going out with the one who is eager to explore, the author had a long love story with Jean-Paul Rouve, a very famous actress with whom she had a child.

If Sylvain Tesson kept her life a secret with the beautiful brunette, on the contrary, she told their story in a book she wrote in 2018: “The Necessary Man”. In the book, she tells of the ups and downs of their eventful and passionate love story.

In the book, we can see a woman who has been madly in love with the adventurer since she was a teenager. A wonderful, erotic couple, brought together by a passion for writing. According to Stéphane Million, the publisher of the book, “some pages are very difficult for Sylvain Tesson”.

Although they were together for two years, the couple had no children. The reason is that the author confessed to being a pedophob, he wants to leave this earth without leaving any descendants.

Sylvain Tesson tells about his love story, the drama of his life and his many travels and sometimes evokes them in his books or in his interviews to inspire people. But what about its future? The answer is simple! The famous author does not want to expand his clan.

And he has already made that very clear, as he did in an interview several years ago.

“I’m a pedophile! We’re already 7 billion on Earth, it’s urgent to stop having children! (…) Family love is a selfish love in a logic of copier reproduction of oneself”,

he mentioned.

It must be said that since his terrible fall in August 2014, Sylvain Tesson’s life has changed completely. However, the bestselling author has always maintained his adventurous spirit.

Moreover, crazy about stegofilia, the man of letters did not take long before resuming his passion. Note that since then he climbs up the walls with ropes. From now on, the time for the traveling writer is over, where he put his life in danger. At least that was what he suggested during an interview.

“I will never go solo on gutters again. I would like to do beautiful mountaineering again, it’s over gonzo teenage climbs”,

he promised.
