iPhone 14 production may have been delayed; New design renderings also leaked

From time to time, we tend to see details about the iPhone 14 pop up to give us an idea. Details about the camera and screen were recently leaked and now we have some details about the production, which may not be good news. But we also have new renders that have been leaked to give us more insight into the design of the iPhone 14. Let’s take a look at all these new details.

The iPhone 14 would be delayed

A recent Nikkei Report suggests that one of iPhone 14 models are behind production schedule due to the COVID lockdown situation in China.

It is said that an iPhone has to go through a number of stages before it is launched. This includes New Product Introduction (NPI) to shape the manufacturing process and Engineering Verification Test (EVT) for suppliers to design the mechanical parts and production flow of new iPhones, followed by another round of mass-production checks. While three iPhone 14 models are in the EVT stage, there is one model that is not and therefore the launch may be delayed. There is no word on the name of the model in question.

Typically, iPhones end up in EVT at the end of June to begin mass production of the part in August or September. Apple reportedly urged suppliers to speed up the process to meet its usual schedule.

One person familiar with the matter said:If the development process can be accelerated to the next level around late June or early July, it should still be possible to meet the early September mass production deadline. But it really depends on whether the process can be speeded up quickly.

While the alleged delay probably won’t affect the launch schedule, the whole process still needs to be checked to get a better idea. Details on this part will eventually reach us once the correct information is available.

There’s Another iPhone 14 Design Leak!

The design of the iPhone 14 Pro has now been leaked through new renders and this repeats what we have been hearing since last year. Jon Prosser has leaked renders created by concept graphic designer Ian Zelbo.

It has been shown that the The iPhone 14 will have a “pill + punch-hole” display to replace the notch which was introduced with the iPhone X, which will require a significant change. The screen should also be bigger. However, no further changes will be made. The camera bump on the back remains the same as with current iPhone 13 models and the flat bezel design is retained.

The camera bump could be bigger though, possibly due to the rumored 48MP camera. The iPhone 14 Pro, seen in a striking purple hue, and other colorways are also expected. You can watch Prosser’s YouTube video to get a better idea.

The next iPhone is also expected to come with a 120Hz ProMotion display with the Always-on Display capability, which could be for the Pro models. The iPhone 14 lineup, which is expected to launch the . will contain iPhone 14, 14 Max, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Maxwill also likely get selfie camera upgrades with autofocus, a bigger battery and RAM, and more charging. While non-Pro models may be powered by last year’s A15 Bionic chipset, Pros can get the latest A16 chipset.

These are just rumors and it’s best to take them with a grain of salt and wait for more details to surface. We will certainly keep you informed. Therefore stay informed.
