The Rockets and Spurs ignited the Summer League tonight

The program of the summer league offered us this evening a nice Texan derby and, in addition to the non-existent local rivalry over this kind of competition … the opposition between some of the cracks in the new generation. Hot take, the next decade is likely to be turbulent in Texas.

Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green, Usman Garuba, Alps Sengun, Jae’Sean Tate, Kenyon Martin Jr., Tre Jones, Romeo Langford, Joshua Primo, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan. All the happy bunch of gifted kids? Know that you just read the list of those who did NOT play last night in Las Vegas, which, no matter what happens, gives the fan bases from the two franchises the right to be busy in October. And do you want more good news? The “after” generation is not too bad either, and the very young Rockets and Spurs had therefore made an appointment yesterday in the city of the game, just to show who had the biggest … bag of students. A match as planned very catchy, with on both sides the confirmation of talents ready to appear at the highest level.

Spurs side? We had started the evening learning the sad news of the end of the happy marriage between the Texas franchise and the legendary shooting coach Chip Engelland, the same one who, among other things, had managed to offer a shot to Tony Parker, but we ended it with the assurance that have in its rows a few cracks to polish. In the absence of Josh Primo (DS of history-geo) it is e.g. rookie Malaki Branham (pronounced Mo quail), who was entitled to his shooting tickets and who did them quite well (18/8), the 20th pick in the final draft that added 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals to his beautiful Nevada night. Shooting, shooting and more shooting without question, an observation that applies to the second big prospect of the Spurs draft in 2022: Blake Wesley. Very prominent since the start of the summer league, the new armed wing of SA harvested yesterday (3/20, as I know the French matriculation exam), but he proved one thing: the guy will take what to take and the harvest evenings will not be legion as the child appears to have talent. Special mention to end with the surprise guest Darius Days, the non-draft, but who has been writing this group’s beautiful story for a week and who once again escaped snippa tonight with 13 points and 11 rebounds on 3/7 from the parking lot.

But very clearly, this youth at Fort Alamo will logically crash this season, at least under the weight of the talent of the neighbors to Houston. No respect for Gregg Popovich’s foal eh, but Stephen Silas’ foal promises a completely different delirium, starting with No. 3 in the Draft Jabari Smith Jr., discreet to his first, but who has had a bad mood since then, and who has already proved with his attitude and a few subliminal messages that he could well be of the caliber of the greatest. Defense, footwork, fundamentals close and address at a long distance, in short a nice package and tonight 19 points and 9 rebounds as nothing is in relation to the ceiling which seems to be his, yes we are talking about ceiling after 70 minutes of Summer League. by his side? Pointguard Ty-Ty Washington seems to be having fun in his new life and feels the thriller a lot, but what about … Tari Eason, No. 17 in the draft and the true revelation of the Houston team in this summer league. Size, height, shooting and already the first excitement at the thought of watching the child develop into a fiver along with Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen Green, Jabari Smith and the Alps Sengun, randomly, which for about thirty times since the beginning of this article, makes us wish October that, now, right away.

22/10/3/2/2 for Tari tonight, to which we can add the 18 of a Josh Christopher who killed the match and the show goal against Spurs, and in the end we therefore achieve an easy victory for the Rockets after after fighting for a long time in the first half, but if you really want to know the scenario of the match, you need to know that 1) we do not care, and 2) we will not give it to you. What interests us here is the supposed talent of this Texan youth, and that we will therefore end these lines by telling you that we are really busy … oh no, we have already told you that.
