This versatile laptop PC is well equipped in terms of connectivity with its USB-C, its Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi ac wireless modules to communicate and connect remotely, its convenient HDMI video output for easy connection connectable to, for example, a monitor or a TV , its Ethernet and audio ports, as well as its 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) that guarantee transfers that are up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 when USB 3.0 peripherals are connected.
It is a pity, however, that no more recent and efficient Wi-Fi ax module or keyboard illumination solution has been found to better distinguish the keys in the case of reduced ambient light.
In all cases, the screen lends itself well to displaying High Definition content, such as videos, as it uses Full HD definition coupled with a 16:9 format. Because the screen is anti-glare, it is also calmer for the eyes during prolonged use and easier to read in a bright environment (eg outdoors). The screen also has significant vertical and horizontal viewing angles thanks to IPS technology. But it is not top class, because here the colorimetry is classic.
Performance, autonomy of the HP 17-cn2084nf
The HP 17-cn2084nf is a relatively thin and light 17-inch laptop intended for everyday general use.
Many users will be pleased with the overall performance of this elegant silver laptop, as it is built around 16 GB of RAM and an energy-efficient Intel Alder Lake-U Core i5-1235U.
This core may be suitable for those who do modest multimedia work and take advantage of RAM and multicore (and thus the 10 hybrid Core i5 cores), such as photo editing or video encoding.
On the other hand, it is better to opt for a PC with a non-low-power processor and/or an adequate dedicated graphics card if you plan to often perform tasks that consume processor and/or graphics resources.
Point of dedicated graphics card here on board indeed. All graphics are therefore managed by the Intel Iris Xe solution integrated in the Core i5 Alder Lake-U, enough to view photos and videos but also to play modest titles.

The storage here is entrusted to an SSD that can compete with its 512 GB in capacity, while consuming less energy, being more robust, quieter and much faster.
In practice, the SSD clearly improves responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis compared to a simple hard drive, implying in particular much faster start-ups/stops, processing and application starts, or even faster arrivals on the cards of online games.
If you need more space, you can of course use an external storage space. Opting for a USB-C/USB 3.0 device is an interesting solution to take advantage of fast transfers.
As for autonomy, count on approximately 7 hours of battery life in light use for this versatile mobile computer whose large size is particularly comfortable for mainly sedentary use (e.g. at home). Naturally, a 17 inch isn’t the easiest to transport out there, but those who have to lug it around will appreciate the finesse and controlled weight.
